Thomas Ganslandt is a professor for Medical Data Science at the the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg and Chief Medical Information Officer at Universitätsklinikum Erlangen since 2021. He previously held the professorship for Medical Informatics at the Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University from 2018 to 2021. With a previous leadership role in the IT Infrastructure for Research & Strategic Management at the University Hospital Erlangen and a varied medical career, including postdoctoral activities and residency, Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Ganslandt brings extensive expertise in medicine and informatics. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Medical Informatics Committee of the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry & Epidemiology (GMDS) e.V.
