Sven Zenker is the medical director of the Medical-Scientific Technology Development and Coordination Unit of the University Hospital Bonn. He is the current President of the Society for Complex Acute Illness (SCAI) and serves as Chairman of the Expert Panel Medical Devices "Respiratory system, anaesthesiology, intensive care" of the European Commission. His diverse career also includes positions as Physician/Scientist, Vice President at SCAI and teaching at the University of Pittsburgh. His academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Physics and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
